Post 1: My autobiography

 Hi!

My name is Antonio. I was born on June 5, 1997, in Coquimbo, city located in the fourth region of Chile, about six hours from Santiago.

I realized my school education in Coquimbo and La Serena, and when I finished it, I went to live in Santiago. I previously studied Civil Engineering at the Universidad de Chile, but due to not being comfortable, depression and poor academic results, I decided to make the internal change to Chemistry in this faculty.

I currently live with my sister and my dog, Silvi, in Estación Central. My maternal family lives in La Serena, and my paternal family in Coquimbo, including my three other brothers and my cat, Miru.

Some of my hobbies are that I like to play video games on the computer, listen to music, smoke, go out with friends, get out of the routine, go to discos and concerts.

Tell us about an expert/person in your field that you admire One of the scientists I have admired since my school education is the American physicist Robert Millikan. Robert Millikan graduated from Oberlin and did his Ph.D. in physics at Columbia University.  He was part of the United States Army, and had three children with his wife Greta Ervin Blanchard. They had three sons: Clark Blanchard, Glenn Allen, and Max Franklin. Robert Millikan He is world-renowned for his work with the electron, since he was the one who, through his experiment of the fall of the drop of oil, delivered the first numerical value of the charge of the electron. Post 5: How Can Your Major Make the World a Better Place

Good night! Along with saying hello, Today I will talk about how my career could contribute to the world and society. My career is Chemistry and at this point of my career, I feel that I do not have the necessary knowledge to be able to do a deep analysis. However, one of the things that I think I could contribute to the world is recycling. Recycling based on garbage that is simply thrown away and not used again. One of those things is fruit peels or plastics. Plastics are one of the biggest sources of pollution on the planet, degrading over thousands of years and being thrown away as if they were occasionally harmless. At this point, due to consumerism and capitalism in the world, reducing plastic wrap and changing economic policies is complicated. But recycling can be implemented in a good way, starting from home and promoting knowledge. See you on Wednesday with the WebQuest. Cheers!

POST 1: A COUNTRY I WOULD LIKE TO VISIT

  A country that I would like to visit is Iceland. Iceland is a country known for its weather, its volcanoes, being an island, its language, and its music. The main reason why I would like to visit Iceland, is because of its landscapes and its northern lights. It should be noted that its inhabitants do not receive visitors very well, so it would not be entirely appropriate to live or study for a time in the country. Among other things, I like musical artists from Iceland, such as Björk or the Icelandic band, Sigur Rós. Among other countries that I might like to visit, there may be some that are not so urbanized and have beautiful landscapes, such as Norway, Finland, Sweden, Greenland, Denmark, etc. Within Latin America you can still find beautiful landscapes, and one of the countries that can be visited is Chile, which has all kinds of climate, landscapes and beaches throughout the country.
